Poker is more than a game of luck — it's a battle of minds, strategy, and reading your opponents. At lido88, you'll find Malaysia's most active poker tables, with real players from across the country, generous tournament prize pools, and exclusive cashback that makes every session worthwhile.
From classic Texas Hold'em to faster, modern formats
The world's most recognized poker variant. Two private cards plus five community cards — combine them as best you can to build the strongest hand. Easy to learn, but it takes years to truly master.
Four private cards versus two in Hold'em — more possibilities, more action. Omaha players tend to build bigger pots because the odds of hitting a premium hand are significantly higher.
Fold and you're instantly moved to a new table with a fresh hand — no waiting for the round to end. Hand volume triples. Ideal for players who want to make the most of their time at the tables.
Hundreds of players compete simultaneously, with one winner taking the top prize. Lido88 runs daily MTTs with buy-ins ranging from RM 10 to RM 500, with prize pools built from all entrants.
A mini-tournament that kicks off as soon as the required number of players is seated — typically 6 or 9. The ideal format for players who want the tournament experience without a long time commitment.
No buy-in required — completely free for all registered lido88 members. The real-money prize pool is funded entirely by the platform. The perfect way for new players to get competitive tournament experience with zero financial risk.
There's a fairly common misconception in Malaysia that poker is purely a game of chance, much like slots or roulette. In reality, poker is a game of skill over the long run. In the short term, anyone can win or lose based on the cards they're dealt. But over the long haul — across thousands of hands — players who understand probability, read opponent tendencies, and manage their bankroll well will consistently come out ahead.
This is what makes poker at lido88 so compelling compared to other casino games. You're not playing against the "house" like in Baccarat or Roulette — you're playing against other people. lido88 takes only a small rake as a service fee, and the rest is a pure contest of skill between players. That means consistently better players will consistently profit.
The lido88 platform offers a suite of tools rarely found elsewhere — personal hand statistics, match history you can review at any time, and player notes that let you log specific opponents' tendencies. All features are available free of charge to every lido88 member, helping you grow from a casual player into a more serious competitor.
Choose stakes that match your budget and playing style
The ideal table for players who are ready to take poker seriously. Low stakes, fair competition, and room to grow without taking on significant risk.
The 6-max format encourages more aggressive play. Fewer players at the table means more hands involving you and more critical decisions to make.
The pot is split between the best high hand and the best low hand — a more complex strategy with more ways to win for players who know the game inside out.
Fold and move straight to the next hand without waiting. Hands per hour are nearly 3x higher than at a regular table — make the most of your playing time.
An exclusive table for lido88 VIP players. Priority service, higher rakeback, and competition that means business. Invitation required.
One on one — the purest test of skill in poker. Nowhere to hide, every decision counts. For players who are ready to rise to the challenge.
Memorise this hand ranking before you sit down at your first table
A-K-Q-J-10 of the same suit — the perfect hand, impossible to beat.
Five consecutive cards of the same suit. Extremely rare, extremely powerful.
Four cards of the same rank. Unless your opponent holds a Straight Flush, this hand is virtually unbeatable.
Three cards of the same rank plus a pair. A hand that frequently takes down big pots.
Five cards of the same suit. The highest card determines the winner if two players both hold a Flush.
Five consecutive cards of different suits. A-2-3-4-5 is the lowest Straight (the Wheel).
Three cards of the same rank. Called a "set" when two of them are in your hand.
Two pairs of different ranks. The higher pair decides the winner in the event of a tie.
Two cards of the same rank. The hand most commonly taken to showdown in poker.

Daily tournaments with low buy-ins suited to all skill levels. Prize pool is funded by entries, with a guaranteed minimum of RM 1,000. Turbo format wraps up in 2–3 hours.

Lido88's most anticipated weekly flagship tournament. RM 50 buy-in with a guaranteed prize pool of at least RM 15,000. The biggest poker stage in Malaysia, every single week.

If there is one thing that separates consistent winners from frequent losers, it is a solid understanding of starting hand selection. Many new players make the mistake of playing too many hands — they fear missing out. But the reality is, in Texas Hold'em, folding is one of your most powerful weapons. lido88 poker tables are full of loose players, and that is precisely what makes disciplined, selective players more profitable in the long run.
Table position is another critical concept that newer players often overlook. Playing "in position" — meaning you act after your opponents — gives you a significant informational advantage. You already know what your opponents have done before you need to make your decision. At lido88's Texas Hold'em tables, the dealer button moves each round, and players who know how to leverage their position will maintain a consistent edge throughout a session.
Another critically important aspect is bankroll management. lido88 recommends that players never sit at a table with more than 5% of their total poker bankroll. This means if your bankroll is RM 500, you should be playing at tables with a maximum buy-in of RM 25. Bankroll discipline ensures that one bad session doesn't end your poker journey — and at lido88, we want to see our players grow over time.

Start with Freeroll: Use lido88's daily freerolls to practise decision-making in a real competitive environment with no financial risk. It's far better to learn from mistakes here than at a cash game table.
Understand Pot Odds: Before calling any bet, work out whether your odds of winning justify the pot-to-bet ratio. This is a fundamental poker math skill that is well worth learning.
Read Your Opponents' Patterns: Use lido88's player notes feature to track your opponents' tendencies — do they bluff frequently? Do they fold too easily? These insights are invaluable going into future sessions.
Don't Tilt: After a bad beat, close the app for a moment and take a breather. Playing on tilt is the single biggest cause of losses in poker — lido88 has a break timer feature to help you step away when you need to.

The action timer is prominently shown so you never miss your turn.

Real experiences from the lido88 poker community across Malaysia
"I've tried plenty of online poker platforms in Malaysia, but lido88 stands out for its transparency and player traffic. The daily RM 500 freeroll is something you won't find anywhere else — I've podiumed three times already. The 25% weekly rakeback hits automatically without you having to ask. Deposits via Touch 'n Go clear in 5 seconds, withdrawals in 10 minutes. Genuinely no complaints."
"Last month's lido88 Sunday Major — RM 50 buy-in, made the final table, finished third, walked away with RM 1,850. The table interface was clean with zero disconnections throughout the entire 5-hour tournament. The in-game stats helped me identify leaks in my game. For serious players, lido88 is the number one choice in Malaysia."
"Only been playing poker on lido88 for a month. Started with freerolls, picked up the basics, then moved into micro cash games at RM 1/RM 2. The hand history review feature is incredibly useful — I go back every night to look at where I went wrong. The Malaysian player community is friendly, and a few regulars share tips in the table chat. Best platform to properly learn poker."
